Since September 2014, every child in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal at lunch times.
After Year 2, your child may be entitled to free school meals if you receive one of the below benefits:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
- Child Tax Credit, but not entitled to a Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by the Inland Revenue) of no more than £16,190
- Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
- or are being supported by the National Asylum Support Service (NASS)
Applications for free school meals cannot be backdated.
Although every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 will be given a free school meal at lunch time, parents are still required to complete this form as this can help their child's school to receive extra funding.

We provide a very high level of supervision for children during the lunchtime. In addition to the kitchen staff who serve the lunch, there is also an SMSA (dinner lady) attached to each class, plus a Senior SMSA and an SMSA First Aider.
If your child is bringing a packed lunch box, we ask that you make it as healthy as possible, and do not include fizzy drinks, sweets, or anything containing nuts.
Please contact the office to arrange meals for your child if you have not already completed an order form.

Before the start of every Half-Term, we will send out a Google Form via ParentMail detailing the upcoming menu options, please can you complete the form, as soon as possible once you've received it.
If you haven't received the form, it may be worth confirming your contact details (Phone Number/Email) as you request the link to the Google Form from Mrs H Cooper, you can do this by emailing the office.
