Public Sector Equality Duty
As schools are public bodies, we must comply with the public body equality duty that is outlined in the Equality Act 2010 and the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.
How we comply with the public sector equality duty
Information on how we comply with the public sector equality duty can be found in our equality policy which is at the bottom of this webpage.
Our Equality Objectives (To be reviewed in 2024):
- Identify opportunities in the curriculum to look at other cultures and countries, study famous people from ethnic minorities and to celebrate diversity.
- Utilise the skills and knowledge of the local community to enhance the children's learning.
- Plan and deliver opportunities to celebrate festivals of a range of cultures and countries.
- Use events such as 'Harvest', sporting events, and significant key dates as an opportunity to explore other cultures.
